Hi. I’m Mark Bullock with Videosocials.net and phoneBlogger.net.

And today I wanted to give you a tip on doing series of recordings. So what am I talking about?

Well, if you have a topic that… or multiple topics that are very closely related, I really encourage you to create a series out of that. Why would you do that? Well, if you have… if we realize that everything that we do and we’re recording or whether we’re writing blog posts, whatever the case may be, we’re trying to draw people in. We’re trying to have them come and engage further with us as steps towards possibly working with us — possibly calling us and getting a consult, as an example.

That being said , every video of course needs to stand on its own if we’re putting it out there in the world. But the call to action should be, if it’s a series, the call to action should be to view the rest of the series or to read the rest of the series. Why… Why that’s important really comes down to if they’re engaged with one video or one blog post or one article and they’re interested, why not give them the rest of the story so that they can come and consume that as well and in doing so draws them that much closer to you.

So how do you start this? What’s the easy way? Well, with videos, it’s very simple : create a playlist on video… excuse me, on your YouTube channel. So the playlist is nothing more than an organization of multiple videos into a list — literally placed into the playlist 1234 and that playlist gets its own web address that you can then share, whether as part of your call to action in each of your videos, as well as any place that you share it online or on your website, which is the second part.

Why would you want to go to the trouble of getting these videos, this series of videos onto your website? Well, on your website, you have a whole lot more that you can do. You have a lot of control. You can add calls to action. You can add subscriptions to your mailing list. You can add lead magnets to bring in people to give you their email address so that you can add them to your mailing list, as an example. You can give additional resources to again draw them in to consume more content and, again to get closer to you and to get more comfortable with you as time goes by.

So whatever channels you’re using, social media, email, website, etc., realize that it’s all part of the World Wide Web. In other words, all interconnected and so, by organizing your content into playlists into series that gives people the opportunity to engage in a broader perspective of you and a broader perspective of the information that you bring in.

Hope you found that valuable. Again, Mark with Videosocials.net and phoneBlogger.net. And if you did find it valuable, I encourage you to visit Videosocials.net/knowledge — I’m sorry, it’s Videosocials.net/academy. Again, take care.
